Some pages present facts and results of research, while other pages use outside sources to make their own arguments. Try to go directly to the primary source, as with all research. But be wary--not all Web page authors identify their information as secondary information, so check for bibliographies. In addition, some websites serve as discussion groups, where only opinions circulate--don't rely on these pages for facts.
