"The first notice of a four-war American Legion family in Minnesota has come to department headquarters from Madelia Post 19. They are P. H. Hodapp and three of his sons, Jim, Phil, Jr., and Steve. The father is a World War I veteran; Jim, a past second District commander, served in World War II; Phil, Jr., served during the Korean War; and Steve, the family's newest Legionnaire, became eligible with the new Viet Nam War eligibility period. Steve was the first member to be signed by the Madelia post under the present eligibility period."
