Typically a response will take one of the forms suggested below in outline or skeletal form.

  2. Summary of text(s)
  3. Response(s)
    1. Point 1
    2. Point 2
    3. Point 3, etc.
  4. Conclusion

Or here's another format. Notice the initial focus upon key issues.

  1. Introduction to key issues
  2. Summary of relevant text(s) Response(s)
    1. Point 1
    2. Point 2
    3. Point 2, etc.
  3. Conclusion

Or here's another, integrating summary and response.

  1. Introduction to issues and/or text(s)
