9 am
It finally stopped snowing this morning.
We lost several
trees after the large evergreen yesterday.
That one is still the worst. The rest mostly lost branches from the
top and sides. It amazes me that snow can be so powerful, that little
puffs of frozen water can conquer giants.
For some reason,
I'm reminded of a quote from the Tao
Teh Ching, which I read long ago, and the weight begins to lift
from my spirit.

Nothing in the
world is softer and weaker than water;
But, for attacking the hard and strong, there is nothing like it!
For nothing can take its place.
That the weak overcomes the strong, and the soft overcomes the hard,
This is something known by all, but practiced by none.
