I'd rather go hiking than go to church.  It is how I worship, meditate, and pray.  I fellowship with the birds, my dog and the sky.  I restore myself in the quiet, am healed a little with each step.

Greyrock is one of the most sacred places I know in Colorado.  The three mile trail up is steep, some sections are struggling to restore after fires, but the trail isn't really anything special.  However, every time I come out of the trees into the meadow at the foot of the rock, I am amazed.  The trees rise up and surround the meadow on all sides, making it feel closer to the sky than it is.  And the rock...there are no words for what it feels like to stand below its quiet.
