Solution

	There’s a part of you
maybe next to the lump in your throat,
or is it inside your empty arms?
Crying and trying to keep on flying,
Ignoring and soaring above all
the deadlines and that shitty job.
But the tugging waters make it hard to float.

Maybe that part of you can be found in your lonely showers.
Or is it on top of the cold pillow on your bed?
Gritting and gripping avoiding all slipping,
to find and unwind without losing your mind.
No answer in sight scares you and in fear you cower.

	Looking beyond your drowning eyes
Over and throughout the starlit skies
Soon you realize that the answer lies
There beside the solitary dish in the sink.

And when you pause from yourself
and try to anchor a love with someone else,
	when you're head over heels
	in an upside-down world,
pushing to stretch the hours in the days,
the daze only becomes worse.

Then it occurs to you
that you have come full circle
and your solution remains
right where you left it;
right in the mirrored eyes of your reflection’s reflection.
