The Sue Ellens Are Comin' Continued

Honestly, when I was younger, I didn't really notice this stuff. But I do now, maybe it's because I live so far away or maybe it's just because I'm so on in years. On Christmas Eve, we often have as many as 40 people for dinner so you can image the driveway. Last Christmas, I was trying to mash potatoes and I looked out the kitchen window to see the mass of cars building up. Keep in mind that we have 23 people just in our immediate family. Five out of seven of us are married, four have children, and I often drive home for Christmas. So by my calculation that puts us with ten cars in the drive and half of those are mini-vans or SUVs. This doesn't even include some aunts, uncles, and cousins that usually show up too. Just by the shear number of cars, I knew my mother would be freakin' out soon. My dad wasn't home yet and by the way the cars were parked, he wouldn't be able to get his car in the garage. It wasn't long before mom came up next to me and looked out the small kitchen window. I knew what she was thinking. Oh my God! We have to rearrange the cars, right now!

it's still not over
