This course assumes complete control of the writing skills developed in CO150 so that as a writer, you can go well beyond introductory academic writing. Writers in each of the CO301 courses learn rhetorical strategies for accommodating the demands of specialized subjects to the needs of diverse audiences, particularly those audiences outside a discipline. You will also become a sophisticated reader, particularly in reading from a writer's point of view. Moreover, you will enhance your critical reading skills and become comfortable as part of a community of readers. In addition to reading process, the course emphasizes writing process with special emphasis on revising and editing.
