Your argument will need to well developed using relevant, sufficient evidence from credible sources appropriate for your audience. You will need to use a total of 6-8 sources for this essay, no more than two of which may be from Aims. Types of evidence that are appropriate to a Convincing Essay are: statistics, expert testimony, quotes from authoritative sources, and hard evidence in general. Personal experience and anecdotes of other people's experiences are not generally appropriate for a Convincing Essay. This is not to say that you can't use an anecdote to catch your readers' attention, but you should be relying heavily on hard facts and logic to reach your audience as opposed to emotion.
