Audience: You've already written one essay for this audience. In the Personal Literacy Reflection, you wrote using a personal voice about issues that affected your understanding of language and literacy. In this response, you should think of your classmates and teacher as an academic audience. That is, you should think of them as readers who are familiar with the academic conventions (or customs) of making clear points and supporting them with verifiable evidence. For the purposes of the response, acceptable evidence includes your own personal experiences, quotations and paraphrases from the articles to which you are responding, and your analysis of the arguments made in those articles.
