Unit Two, Day 18 - Thursday

Students will meet with you at their assigned times for 15 minutes each. During these conferences, try not to tell them how to write their paper. Instead, your goal is to ask them questions that might elicit how they feel about their show and where this might go in an analysis. If they already have a focus for the analysis, help them see potential problem areas and/or think about what they will need to help them develop their ideas.

Note: Pass out copies of the three student samples included in the appendix. Ask students to read them, as well as PHG p. 288-94 for the next class. Assign this for everyone after their conference.
