Class Plan -- Unit Three, Day 43
Goals Assignments
Begin thinking about and informally analyzing the audiences you wrote down today, in preparation for your work on the final exam assignment. REMIND THEM TO BRING A CLEAN COPY OF THEIR FINAL ARGUING ESSAY TO USE DURING THE FINAL EXAM PERIOD.

Activities:

Daily - In this daily prompt, ask students to write down two or three grammar errors that they would like their workshop partners to be particularly attentive to today. Ask them to use their grammar logs, comments on previous papers, etc. to come up with ideas.

Editing Workshop - Students exchange final drafts and check for grammatical and mechanical errors. [This workshop follows the same format as the one done for the Inquiry Essay.]

COLLECT ARGUING ESSAY FOLDERS.

Discuss Final Exam Assignment - Be sure to set aside 10-15 minutes at the end of class to take student questions about the final exam assignment, to make any additional explanations you want to make, and to get them to hand in their lists of three possible audiences.
