What is a Perspective?

By perspective, we mean a particular approach or stance that an author or group of authors might take on an issue. For instance, one perspective that might be taken on the issue of whether the use of the term "Generation X" by the media affects the general public's perception of people aged 18 to 30 is that it makes no substantive difference. Another perspective might be that the media's use of the term has brought about a poor perception among the general public of people in that age group.
