Development

For the Summary: Develop the summary by clearly and succinctly paraphrasing (putting in your own words) each of these points for your audience. Be sure to use sufficient author tags ("According to," "Rodriguez believes that," etc.) so your audience knows who's talking at any given point in your essay.

For the Response: Develop your response by giving 2-3 reasons why your audience should believe your claim, and by giving several clear, relevant examples that support each of your reasons. Make the whole essay coherent for your audience by explaining your points so that your audience won't be left with any major questions, and choose an organization and style that they will be able to follow easily.
