Class Plan -- Unit Two, Day 2 and 3

• Topical Readings from LM.

Goals:

• To read, analyze and discuss the topical readings you've chosen to focus Unit II.

Assignment:

• Readings as you see fit. Between Day 3 and Day 4, assign more reading about evaluating from the PHG.
• Also, during these two days, have your students begin developing their own subjective criteria for the articles they read (based on the concepts in the narrative).

Use these two days to give your students a very clear concept of your focus for Unit II (one of the topical chapters out of LM). Assign 2-4 articles to use as a basis for discussion over these two class periods, and gear the discussions toward giving your students a clear understanding of the basic issues they're dealing with while building up the idea that they're evaluating these articles in order to find their own points of view.
