Our MissionWe believe that writing is not a solitary act and that writing becomes more effective when discussion/conversation surrounds it. Our work is guided by the following mission statement: The Colorado State University Writing Center is dedicated to providing advice and help in every stage of the writing process. Our goal is to engage the community in discussion about writing by providing onsite consultations, classroom presentations, and campus workshops and outreach. |

View our list of upcoming writing workshops for students. Workshops cover a wide range of writing issues, from writing under pressure to writing application statements to working with sources.
The Writing Center offers a free, confidential service with no appointment necessary to all writers within the CSU and Fort Collins community. Each session typically lasts about a half an hour.
Although the writing consultants who work at the Writing Center are all students within the English department, it is important to mention that we work with ALL writers: first year students, graduate students, creative writers, writers from all disciplinary backgrounds, members of the local community, etc.
