Writing Studio Help

The information available through these pages is designed for anyone who would like to learn more about how to use Writing@CSU and the Writing Studio. For each help topic, you can view a video demonstration, an illustrated step-by-step guide, and a step-by-step guide formatted for printing. Video transcripts -- with time markers -- are also available. The length of each video demonstration, in minutes and seconds, is provided in the parentheses following each topic. To view the demonstrations and step-by-step guides, follow the table of contents links to the left.

Notes about videos: The video demonstrations are created in Flash video. You might be prompted to download an updated version of the Flash player.

Also, Camtasia Studio Flash content viewed in Flash Player v9.0.115.0 and up until version 10 may cause audio to sound garbled and/or contain a high pitched chirp, described as sounding like a chipmunk. Updating to the latest version of Adobe Flash Player should resolve this problem. You can find the latest version here.

Because of the size of the Flash files (ranging from roughly 3 megabytes to 45 megabytes), we recommend viewing the help demonstrations only on high-speed connections.
