Researching the World Wide Web
Many people think of the World Wide Web and the Internet as the same thing. But the Web is actually only part of the Internet. The World Wide Web is a collection of electronic documents, or "pages," that can be viewed on your computer using a Web browser, such as Netscape Navigator or Microsoft Internet Explorer. Pages on the Web are linked to each other, allowing you to move from one page to another, or "browse" the Web. To read more about the World Wide Web, view our unit on Using the World Wide Web. |
