Questions To Ask Yourself Before You Begin

What opportunities do you have when commenting? How can writing comments afford you a space for communicating with students that other teaching contexts do not?

What worries you the most about grading student papers? The grade itself? The comments? Both?

Thinking back to your own experiences as a student writer, what kinds of comments did you most appreciate getting from your professors? Which comments did you think were least helpful?
