Ethnography, Observational Research, and Narrative Inquiry: Main Discussion

Qualitative observational research consists of over 30 different approaches which often overlap and whose distinctions are subtle. These approaches share several characteristics which guide research in this area. In this section, we discuss approaches commonly used in the field of English and the key characteristics that inform qualitative research.
