BrevitySummaries should be written as concisely as possible, leaving out all unnecessary words. Be careful to distinguish, however, between unnecessary words in your writing and key details that you want to cite to show the author's types of proof. Achieve brevity by editing your rough drafts; don't achieve brevity by ignoring main points, supporting points, or types of proof. Compare two student examples, before and after editing for extra words. |
