Detail and QuotationsWhile you don't need to summarize all the proof and example a writer uses, you need to provide enough supporting detail to demonstrate to the reader how the author makes his/her point. As a result, it's a good idea to summarize the type of proof used rather than its actual content for the reader. If you can summarize the types of proof, then you need only provide detail on one or two to illustrate how such proof is used. |
