Northern Light is a leading alternative search site, located on the Web at http://www.northernlight.com.

Northern Light distinguishes itself from other search sites through its use of custom search folders to present search results. Northern Light folders are based on four broad categories: Subject (such as running, computers, biology, or motorcycles), Type (such as press releases, product reviews, resumes, recipes), Source (such as commercial Web sites, personal pages, magazines, encyclopedias, databases), and Language (such as English, German, French, Spanish). These folders are further subdivided into additional folders.
