Conducting Simple Searches of the Web

Searching the Web is similar to searching library catalogs and databases. Unlike searches of a library catalog or a database, however, which produce lists of results containing publication and other information about books, periodicals, or government documents, the list produced by a Web search site is "live." All you have to do to read a Web site is to click on its name in the list of search results.
