Conducting Simple Searches of the Web

Searching MetaCrawler: Step 1

When this page is finished loading, you should see the MetaCrawler main page in the frame on the right side of the screen. You can begin your search of MetaCrawler by typing a word in the text box and then clicking on the Search button.

Beginning Your Search: Please follow these steps:

  1. For purposes of our demonstration, please type the word bibliography in the text box, located near the top of the screen.
  2. Then click on the Search button, located to the right of the text box.
  3. Once you've clicked on the Search button, click on the Continue button below.

Note: MetaCrawler provides access to information in the Looksmart directory and to search and shopping tools. In this demonstration, however, we focus only on conducting simple searches.
