| Writing DemonstrationsCreating an MLA-Style Works Cited List |
The Works Cited list should begin on a new page following the last page of text in your paper. For instance, if your paper itself is eight and a half pages long, using half of page nine, the Works Cited page should begin on page ten. This page should also be numbered (page 10) just like the rest of your paper. However, be aware that most instructors, when assigning a ten-page paper, do not actually count the Works Cited page as one of the required pages. Click below to see how a Works Cited page is positioned at the end of a paper. The last page of a student essay will appear to your right. Scroll down until you see the Works Cited list.
