Where to find CO250 materials on the computer

DAILY prompts

If you re working in 227, 228, or 300 Eddy, click on the DAILY button on the toolbar in WordPerfect. Or you can Open a file and click on the y drive. (You will have to save the file to either a disk or your u drive).

You can also get to the DAILY by going to the Writing Center and following the prompts to our class homepage. DAILY prompts are listed by date under Daily Assignments. You can copy the prompt and paste it into either WordPerfect or email.

If you re working from home, look on our class home page on the Internet. Type in https://writing.colostate.edu/sections/sections.htm Then create a bookmark in Netscape or Internet Explorer so that you can get to the materials quickly.

DAILY prompts are identified by the day s date (e.g., daily210.txt). Remember that numbers are ordered numerically, not by date--therefore, the daily for 2-10 (daily210.txt) comes before the daily for 2-3 (daily23.txt).

Writing Center

If you re working in 227, 228, or 300 Eddy, double click on the OWC icon on the main program screen. If you re working from home, type in this URL, making sure to get the capital letters and spacing as shown:

http://www.colostate.edu

Then create a bookmark in Netscape or Internet Explorer so that you can get to the materials quickly.
