Portfolio One

The first portfolio, due on February 19, should include your best writing from the first part of

the semester. Specific requirements:

Top of Page Portfolio Two

The second portfolio, due April 17, will represent the bulk of your work this term, and thus it will count for 50% of the final grade. You must include two polished arguments on approved environment topics, totaling approximately 15-18 pages. One paper should argue to If convince," and one should argue to "persuade. " (See Aims for distinctions.) The audience and purpose of each paper should be noted in pencil at the top of the final draft.

You will also need to include in this portfolio photocopies of all articles you cite in your final drafts, as well as required DAILY writing and workshop sheets I assign during the preparation of the portfolio.

Top of the Page Portfolio Three

This portfolio, due May 8, will include collaborative writing on analytic responses to readings as well as a final individual analysis paper. The audience for this paper will be C0250 students. The portfolio must also include photocopies of any articles you cite in your final draft.

The paper will make up 60 % of the portfolio grade. The remaining 40 % of the portfolio grade will be based on the collaborative group work you submit with the portfolio, so it's important to keep track of the time and tasks you complete for this paper.

Portfolio 3 accounts for 25 % of your course grade.
