You will complete summaries of arguments -- usually one a week -- and drafts of your own arguments -- typically one every two to three weeks, depending on the research required to develop the argument. Instructors will comment on three intervention drafts with special emphasis on focus, fullness of development, logical argument, and appropriate adaptation to audience. From these drafts, you will choose to revise at least two papers to submit in portfolios at midterm and and at the end of the semester. Instructor comments on the portfolios will again concentrate on key criteria -- focus, development, logic/critical thinking, audience.
