Unit III: Exploring Your Academic and Professional LanguageCommunity
| Return to Course Information for Students |
In the third and last unit, you'll take the analytical skills you learned in the first two units and apply them to an extremely important language community: your chosen academic and professional field. You'll analyze the language of this community, and interpret for yourself and your audience what it will mean for you to become a part of it and how you'll learn its language.
Man acts as though he were the shaper and master of language, while in fact language remains the master of man.
