Composition Placement Examination

Important Note: the exam times listed are Mountain Time Zone. You will need to make the appropriate adjustment if you are taking the test outside this time zone.

Welcome to Colorado State University's Online Composition Placement Examination. In order to take the online placement exam, students will need their 9-digit CSUID number (this number begins with an “8”). Students will also need to type in their email address. Students taking this exam will be assessed a $40.00 fee, which will be billed to their student account. Students may work on their essays for a maximum of 90 minutes.

The examination will be available at the following times:

Date: July 10, 2008
Starting Time: 7:00 PM

Students taking the online Composition Placement Exam on June 30, July 1 and July 2 can check their placement on the afternoon of Thursday, July 3.

Students taking the online Composition Placement Exam on July 8, July 9, and July 10 can check their placement on the afternoon of Friday, July 11.

Students can check their placement by checking their HomePage on RAMweb. Under "Records," select "Composition Placement/Challenge Exam Results."
