CO150 College Composition

CO150 Widthrawal Policy

CO150 is a course with a limited drop period. You may drop the class only during the first four days of the semester. After this time, you may take a 'W' in CO150 only if you withdraw from the University.

If you have a serious medical or family emergency (see categories listed below), the University will accept petitions for a 'W' in CO150. You must bring documentation of the problem to the Director of Composition.

Conditions for Withdrawal from CO150

Only the following conditions may make a student eligible to petition for withdrawal from CO150:

  • Death in the immediate family
  • serious illness or hospitalization
  • Psychological or emotional crisis (under care by a certified professional)
  • Serious accident that immobilizes or handicaps the student.

The registrar accepts petitions from the Director of Composition through the end of the 'W' period. After that date each term, you must petition directly to the Registration Appeals Committee.
